My computer runs perfectly fine under all other circumstances except when playing video games.

Pc info.

Windows 7
AMD Athlon 2 x 4 653 2.90GHz Processor
Ram 6GB
64 bit operating system.
thermaltake power supply, not sure of the wattage but i think its 500 or so

GFX card
Geforce gtx 460
specifically...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZMTPEW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i have the latest driver and i'm 100 percent sure its not a driver related issue. At this point the only thing i can think is that its either my power supply or the motherboard that is having a issue, i don't have a program to check temps for anything besides the gfx card, which isn't overheating.

Times before when the pc shut down I would check the residual heat of the power supply and although warm, it didn't seem overly hot. The only other things I can think is that its a settings issue, but i have the settings from my nvidia inspector set on default.

Solution
Check your temps of your gpu and cpu..also it could be a memory or psu problem..use programs to monitor your temp and prime 95 and memtest to benchmark different parts...and you should be good to go
Right click on My Computer in the Start Menu and choose Properties, then go here and uncheck automatic restart. Let it crash again and this time it will tell you which specific file caused the crash.

Sorry for not replying sooner. Alright well i just got my pc back from the computer shop. Everything was working fine at the computer shop, they tested it in front of me and told me what was wrong with it.

They said that I had moved one or some of the components slightly or whatever while the machine was still charged from being plugged in, this corrupted my serial bus controllers and my driver and something else?

Well, I didn't actually turn a game on and play it, they had told me they ran a graphics testing program for like 5 hours and it never crashed. So back home, i hook everything back up and close the tower up, start up a game and bam, it crashed again.

They said all my hardware is working fine, aside from the corrupted stuff mentioned, so i'm guessing that between getting the thing home from the shop and hooking it up, i some how did this again. But I don't see how i could have done it. Or maybe they just didn't fix it? So how do i fix corrupted serial bus controllers? I can re install a driver easy enough.
