My PC freezes, like just completely locks, can't move mouse, sound goes, everything. I have to hard reset every time. The PC does this when I'm at high temps playing games. It's been happening ever since i upgraded my PC and i thought that it might have been the Gpu, because of the high temps so I had it RMA'd and got a new one and the PC still freezes at high temps. I've been trying to find a solution to this problem or a long time but never posted here before.

Hi, I would post temps but I am at work just now. How ever the CPU does not over heat. I've had temps monitoring on my other screen as the pc has crashed so I can see it when it crashed. The CPU barely goes above 60 even under load. I have it watercooled. The GPU is generally between 80-85C when the PC crashes. It's an MSI 980ti 6GB. This crash only ever happens when gaming. I will post a full list of specs when i can. From memory though I have this:

Gigabyte Z170 board
i5 6600k
16GB Corsair Vengeance

I thought that as well, that's why I RMA'd the GPU and got a replacement and I still had the same issue. But I've had GPU's sit at around those temps before and i've never had this issue before.

I have a brand new EVGA 850W Supernova. The crashing has been happening way before i got that.
