PC Crashing during games / stress tests

So I've been reading tons of these issues on the internet trying to narrow down my specific problem and I thought I solved it when I replaced my PSU but I am still getting these crashes. I run prime95 on blend and my PC crashes. No blue screen no error just a total shut down. I run memtest and I get the same crash. No errors that I can see. This was happening before I replaced my PSU and now it's still happening. I cant run any of these tests without my PC crashing. I haven't had a chance to play a game to see if it's still going to crash but I imagine it will if I can't get through these tests.

Does anyone on here know what the problem could be? My motherboard and RAM are 6 years old but have been going strong until recently. My cpu is also 6 years old but never gave me trouble either. Are they finally dying? Nothing is overclocked and my GPU temps are fine and CPU is relatively normal. I noticed it got to 56c during the prime95 blend test before the PC shut down.

MOBO - asus m4a89gtd pro
CPU - AMD Phenom ii x6 1095t
GPU - GTX 1050ti
PSU - 600 watts
RAM - 8 gigs ddr3

Make and model of your PSU as well as it's age? What was the prior PSU's make and model? Can you see aiming a fan at the CPU's VRM heatsink improves the system's stability? I'm assuming the VRM's are getting hot and is the cause for thermal shutdown. On another note, make sure you're on the latest BIOS update. I'm assuming you've migrated to Windows 10 in that time frame since you built the system.

My new power supply is an EVGA 600w 80 bronze. Previous was 750w. Also previously I had a 6 year old water cooler on my CPU but figured that way faulty as well so changed to a simple coolermaster 2i2 hyper evo with some fresh thermal paste. I'm also using a new case so there's no dust or anything.

I am on windows 10 but just running memtest before I even boot to windows will crash my pc after a few minutes.

Bios is as updated as I can get it. The board is 6 years old. Latest update was 2012 on the Asus site.

As for the VRM I'm not sure where that's located. Is it the blue stuff surrounding the processor? If this is the problem will I have to retire the board or is there a fix?
