This is a strange issue and has troubled me for some time now. Here is the process just before the crash.
1) Boot up everything runs normally no errors no issues. ( at this point I can browse the web or play steam games)
2) I'll load up a steam game for example on one boot and have no issues at all.
3) But If I am browsing the Internet and watch a video whether it be youtube or a small advertisement window on a web page my PC will make a tick noise and completely freeze up. requiring me to reboot.
Now heres the weird part. If I leave my PC on for say 2 hours after booting up there is no problems at all and I can watch videos to my hearts desire. It only happens shortly after a reboot or from me restarting after a crash.
Things that cause a crash so far
Youtube
Any video player
Small Ads in webpages.
But at the same time I can play Elderscrolls maxed out with no issues whatsoever

1863GB Seagate

This only started happening after I installed windows 8, Everything is updated and if its not it has been before with the same issue.
