My pc has been causing me problems over the last couple of days. I'm assuming it's gpu but figured I'd ask the community.

- I've experienced some artifacting usually after gaming
- I've had a couple blue screen crashes
- After the blue screen crashes when my pc boots back up the video drivers stop working

I know this may be a driver issue but I'm using an ATI 5870 with old drivers (no updates for 2 years) but no issues previously.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm actually doing that now, it's weird AMD hadn't updated the drivers in ages for this card. The card was released in 2009 I had figured they stopped supporting it but did release new drivers in April this year.

After installing the AMD drivers first time booting immediately artifacts and freezes.

WTF - If I knew for sure it was GPU I'd just go out and buy a Nvidia 770 GTX but I guess you can never be 100% sure unless I test it in another system.
