Question PC crashing when connected to TV

My monitor is in for repairs so I’ve hooked my PC up to an old 32 inch 720p TV I have. It should work fine besides the crappy pixel density and frame rate but it is causing my PC to crash badly (complete freeze) and regularly.

What can I do to fix this? I need this sorted today and my monitor isn’t due back from repair for 3 days!

Hmmm, well to be perfectly honest, it's highly unlikely the TV is making your PC crash. It's much more likely there is an issue with the PC.

List your PC specs.

Have you moved the PC to where the TV is? Could it have taken a knock?
