I was playing on the computer yesterday and it was a storm outside. Lightning struck and the game i was playing blocked as well as no internet signal ( pretty sure it was just my computer, wifi and router were fine). After few seconds blue screen pops up saying a lot of thongs but mostly just "computer will shut down to prevent any damage". Well i hit the 0 switch on my psu right away.
After that my computer won't start at all. No lights..nothing. I opened it and nothing was fried . Only the psu was a bit warm. What should i do? I don't have another pc to test my components..

Solution
There is really no way of knowing what components were damaged if you do not have any components to test. If it gives no signs of life at all it is either the power supply or the Motherboard most likely.
Which this really does suck, and all you can really do is prevent it to happen in the future by turning off the computer during a lightning storm/ getting a good surge protector.

It is a possibility that someone else can help you track which component is at fault, but I unfortunately can not..

Replace the PSU for starters 'cos you'll get nowhere fast without power , then press the computer's power-on button and take it from there.

I wouldn't dream of having any of my IT equipment plugged in to a regular wall socket with no surge-protection, I have my desktop, PC, scanner/printer, ext. HDDs, laptop, in fact everything is surge-protected, even our TV.
