I had a gaming rig set up with a msi 970 gaming mobo and a r9 270 gpu.

Both were oc'd and then it died one day after running for about 4 months.

I realized after it died that after my oc the psu wasn't up to par with the oc's power consumption.

Now the pc wont turn on with a new psu which is tested running in another pc and well over the required wattage.

(Its been a few months since i last tried to troubleshoot so this needs to be verified) i beleive the fans spin and light up when it gets powered on but it won't post.

I will try it out again as soon as I get my new psu from amazon.

Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

There was never any bad smells and physical examination of all the parts has revealed no physical damage.

I'm going to buy a new power supply unit in the next couple days and I will test this out

here is a link to my build without the PSU as I cannot find my PSU on PCPP.com

From what I can see i now realized my recommended wattage was actually well under what my pc needed even after my overclock.

PCPP is saying i need about 450w and my PSU was a 600w sentey that worked for 2 years prior to hooking it up to my new mobo.

So now I am wondering what the problem is.

The night it stopped working i was playing PC games in my apartment with a few friends who also brought their PC's.
The next morning when I went to turn on my PC it did not awaken as narmal.

Any other speculations as to what may be the issue?

My mobo was still only 2 months old and only had 2 months of use on it so I am not happy with the idea of having to replace it already.
