My PC has stopped recognising usb memory sticks and external HDDs properly. WHen I insert them, it says they need to be formatted, so when I try this, it fails and says it can't be. They work perfectly fine on my other computers. When I go into disk management, it says that they are RAW file format, though when I check on other PCs, they're fat32. Anybody have any ideas as to why this could be? SHould be noted that I've tried about 5 USB sticks and an external hard drive all with the same thing happening.

Hey there, redversus.

Have you tried reformatting them with the FAT32 file system with that computer, to see if they'll be properly recognized afterwards? Do you remember doing any updates or have installed any new software before this issue occurred?
You could try updating the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller's driver and the chipset drivers of the motherboard as well. Try different USB ports and devices formatted with a different file system (NTFS, exFAT).

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
