Hello everyone,I hope you are all well. Yesterday Indecided to install my new GTX 1060 . I was super excited but I had ran into a few issues. My computer didnt turn on due to the fan cable not being plugged in properally, saying this for anyone with the same problem. But now everything inside the pc turns on (Cou fan, gpu/gpu lights, case fans and psu) But I get no signal! I reverted back to my old gpu (R7 260x) and it still did not work. I dont get close to the bios and my led keyboard does not light up as it used to when I press the power button, I believe the term is "It did not POST".
I have tried reseating to ram, but that did not change anything!
Has anybody had the same issues? I'd be grateful to anyone that could help out!

CPU- A10-5800k
GPU- GTX 1060 3gb MSI
MB - ga-f2a55m-ds2
Ram - 1 Stick of 8Gb
PSU- EVGA 500bronze

[Edit] -- Ive heard now, that it a bios update is what I need, but how do I do a bios update without a screen?

Solution
Hi

Is your pc starting up ok ?
No point in discussing bios updates until them
It is usually fully described in motherboard user manual or guide
Ranges from windows program or dos program or simply putting file on a usb memory stick with correct name

But pc must be working properly before you start

A few questions.

Did the old R7 260x card require any extra 12v pci-e power connectors to be connected to it direct from the PSU ?
Yes or no ?

If yes did you connect the required 12v Pci-e power connector once again to the GTX 1060 card you inserted as a replacement card, upgrade ?

If your answer Is yes.
Did you make sure the 12v eight pin Eps power connector direct from the Psu of your system was also connected to the motherboard as well as the required 12v Pci-e power connector to the graphics card.

If the answer is no did not check the eight pin 12v Eps connector on motherboard do so.

Then see if you get a display signal to the monitor via it being connected to the display output port of the GTX 1060 graphics card.

If you still cannot get a picture to the monitor screen on powering the system up.
Connect the monitor lead to one of the video output ports of the motherboard.

If you get a display on your monitor screen then.
Go into the bios setup of your motherboard.

For the default graphics card to initialize first of all set the mode to Pci-e.
Save the new changes before you exit the bios.

Now just simply move the monitor video cable from the motherboard, and connect it once again to the video output display ports on the GTX 1060 Nvidia card you have.

And it should display a screen out put there after.

Hi

If your PC does not boot up in its old configuration
it is not a indication of needing to update motherboard bios to fix it

Have you reset CMOS? (usually by setting jumper)

I believe you have a motherboard/CPU integrated Radeon so connect screen to motherboard

Dont update bios until your PC boots up from the integrated Radeon GPU
