[SOLVED] PC does not shut down after windows update

Everytime I update windows 10, I have to press the reset button to start it back again. I click on update and shut down, it says working on updates, goes to 100%, then display goes out but the fans still keep spinning.
Then when I press reset, it works on updates again and boots into windows.

Do I have to wait a long time while its like that?

try resetting bios and see if that helps as it can be caused by a conflict between windows and the bios on motherboard

i was trying to work out why i knew your name but i see you just replied to another thread I am in and I just clicked this thread thinking it was that one.
