Evga 980 ti sc
Gigabyte z170x Gaming 3
Evga 750w G2

Everything functioning properly, and then suddenly my monitors started going black. Restarted a few times after this happening. After about 10 minutes of this, my pc shuts down, and doesn’t boot. I removed my gpu and everything works fine from the integrated graphics. Connected my gpu to mobo without pci cables and it lights up and boots. Plug the cables back in and no power/no boot.

I’ve had this build for over a year with no problems.

Any ideas what the heck this could be?

I have had the unit for a year, and the 980 is under warranty. There’s a 550w supply sitting around here that I can try out tomorrow. I’ll get it hooked up and let you know what happens from there. Thanks

Tried out the 980 on another computer with 550w psu...same result. Case lights momentarily flashed, and no signs of receiving power to the gpu for boot sequence.
