[SOLVED] PC doesn't boot after CPU upgrade ?

Yesterday I received my "new" CPU, I have chosen to upgrade my i5-3330 to an i7-3770k. I replaced it correctly, but when I turn on my pc I've just got a black screen and nothing happens, no bios, nothing, fans are working, I tried putting old CPU back in, but still the same problem. Every thing seems to be plugged back in, just wondered if I'm missing something ?

What is the make/model of your motherboard? Did you manually reset the motherboard BIOS as well?

Was the 3770K new or second-hand? (probably a silly question, given its age).
If second-hand, was it described as "working" or "untested"?

Try booting up the system with only one DIMM installed.

Check cpu socket for broken/ bent pins.

It is an Asus P8H61 - I LX R2.0 RM/SI

No I didn't , It is an Asus P8H61 - I LX R2.0 RM/SI , clear rtc in CMOS is that what I'm looking for?

Make sure you follow the instructions in your manual when you do this.

ladies and gentlemen we have solved it,
Reset the RTC CMOS , had trouble booting again, removed one of the ram cards and huzzah! Thank you very much for helping me with this I really appreciate it
