Dear community,

A friend mine has an old PC with an old hard drive. I suggested that he buy an SSD to make the PC much faster. Now I try to install Windows 7 Ultimate on the old computer but I can't seem to boot from my USB with the installation files on it. On my other PC's the USB booting works just fine but I can't get it done with this PC.

The bios is a Phoenix AwardBios version 1.0b. I changed the Settings under: Integrated Peripherals -> OnChip IDE Device -> Sata Mode IDE with Legacy Mode Support enabled. The computer detects the USB and I can see it in my list when I press F8 to select a boot device. I press F8 select the USB but after that it doesn't start the setup. It just goes on like it always does and I get the following message:

"Boot from AHCI CD-ROM" "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

I also get this message if I am not trying to boot from a USB.

Things that I have already tried:

"USB drive in a different port."
"Trying to pre-install Windows 7 on the SSD with another PC, SSD starts with windows 7 on other PC but doesn't boot in this one.."
"Setting up the boot priority to removable disk"
"Searching the web for answers."

I have no idea what to do anymore. Anyone any suggestions?

Thank you alot in advance.

EDIT: Motherboard model is: a ms-7502
