PC doesnt boot .has a red light (beside power button) flashing 3 times. not even bios shows up

my pc wont boot , not even to the bios screen with the red light (beside power button) flashing 3 times repeatedly. it is an old zebronics pc . it is like atleast 6 years old. i tried reseating every connection i could see , cleaned the memory. please help me out of this

Does the CPU fan Run when you turn it on? It might be the CMOS battery in the MOBO since the laptop is so old and not used for long time the CMOS battery could have gone bad it was the same case for me with my 9 year old laptop.

Please be more specific about your problem. What happened when you press the power button? Can you tell us an exact model number of the PC?

I don't even have the need to press the power button . The PC boots up automatically when plugged in. I don't remember the model of the PC as it is an old one. Thank you very much for spending your time to help me

This happened to my brother when there was an issue with his motherboard. If you have pins on the PC socket, make sure none of them are bent.
