The pc was working normally, then i shut it down, opened it up to add a new drive. once i powered it on, the sceen remained black, then a few seconds later the pc shut down and immidiately restarted going into an infinite restart loop. I removed the newly added drive and tried again but the same thing happened. I removed all drives, the GPU and RAM, but this time the pc stayed on with the black screen. I had a spare motherboard lying around so i swapped it out for that one to try. same thing again, so i removed the DVI connection and connected them via VGA which this time yielded results. I got a signal from the monitor but the system still wouldn't boot into the BIOS, instead it showed me a message saying some map was missing.
Any idea what might be the cause?
