Hey guys,

I have a problem with my self-build PC. Maybe one of you has some insights:

After a week of not using my PC, I wanted to turn it on again and although I could hear it "firing up", the monitor received no input. RAM starts glowing, CPU fan starts working but no output on monitor.

Components:
* MSI 970A-G43 Mainboard
* GeForce GT 730 Silent FX GPU
* Pure Power L8 400W Power
* DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 RAM
* AMD FX-6300 CPU

What I've checked so far:
* Cabel and monitor (both with other PC and replacing cable and monitor) - fine
* Unplugging everything non essential from the mainboard
* Removing battery for a few minutes and putting it back in
* GPU - used a different one, everything the same
* RAM - replaced it, still same outcome
* Beep - never worked, bought a new one, still no beep when starting
* CPU - wasn't able to build in a new one, but it gets warm after the PC ran for a while, so I guess it's fine --> does anyone know whether a CPU can fire up but still be too faulty for any graphical output?

Anyone any idea what the problem could be? I'm thinking of ordering a cheap mainboard and/or cpu to check them but it would be great if I knew which of the both it is...

Cheers,
Karitarina

Update:
The motherboard was broken. Now everything is working again. Thanks =)
