Hi guys,

I'm having an annoying problem:

Just had my new pc for 3 weeks AND IT WAS WORKING FINE and while i was doing other stuff
it fell out and when i restarted, it kept rebooting like every 2 seconds.. even before bios.. so i have no idea what todo

What I did:

tried to boot from usb, but it didn't work.. (i think my usb isn't recognized probably..)
cleared cmos by the button the back
checked every cable if they were plugged in well and they are
removed the ram and hdd, it should beep but it didn't..
also I heard the hdd spinning before removing it, but after some tries restarting the system i don't hear it start/stop spinning anymore when i replaced it back..

Normally the lights on the mb would turn on, but it doesn't do this anymore...

cpu fan spins fine
only the top fan spins but not the rear fan..

My specs:

1 x ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 (90-MXGKX0-A0UAYZ)
1 x ANTEC One (black, no psu, atx) (0761345-15970-8)
1 x WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Blue (500 gb, sata/600, 7200 rpm, 32 mb, 3.5") (WD5000AAKX)
1 x CORSAIR CX (500 watt, atx) (CMPSU-500CXV2EU)
1 x CORSAIR XMS3 (8192 mb, 1600 mhz, CL9, 1.65 v, non-ecc, kit of 2) (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
1 x INTEL Core i7 3770K (3.5 ghz, 8 mb, s1155, 77 watt, boxed) (BX80637I73770K)

What i think is either the psu is broken (but the fan of it spins?) or the mobo but
i'm totally lost, anyone can help me?

Thanks in advance!

Could be like a power issue. Do you have another MB?

Take all the components out of the case. Sniff everything. Does anything smell bad (like formaldehyde)? Some active components (caps) use formaldehyde as a dielectric.

If you can, check the power supply with a multimeter or plug it into a spare board to see if it is still functional.

Assemble the MB on a non-conductive surface and plug in one stick of ram, the CPU/cooler and the GPU. Power the MB and GPU and turn on the system by shorting the power pins together with a screwdriver. You should be able to get to BIOS if everything works.

If you can get to bios is either a grounding issue in the case, or your hard drive ate itself. If you can’t get to BIOS its most likely the MB. Hope everything comes back up.

Some free advice: If you don’t have an UPS, get one. You need antivirus software. Never surf or play games on the Admin login. Make yourself a user account for that and only use Admin to update the computer. Get a cheap router to put between your service provider and your computer, even if you don’t need one. Routers have a good hardware firewall build in.

Hi!

Thanks for the quick reply! I don't smell anything strange, nor do i see anything burned or anything like that..
I'm gonna get some help from a friend who knows more about metering things and stuff.. I have no idea what it happend and it SUCKS.. :(

But what you say about the motherboard and adding one stick of ram and the CPU (i got no external gpu), i kinda did that, but in the case, and it still didn't do anything.. removed all ram sticks and i expected it to beep, but it didn't, so i'm also thinking its sadly the motherboard.. although it's brand new

Sorry, i meant that it shut down by its own.. It didn't fell at all, the case is on the floor.

I also saw that i have like a on/off and reset button on the motherboard, and also a little display for debug codes..

I'm pretty confident the on/off button was lighting up when it was running perfectly fine, but not it doesn't even light up and i don't really wanna press on them because i don't know what they do :/ Any advice on that?
