PC expering lagg.I'm starting to lag more than i should and games my oc could handle only weeks ago is lagging liek crazy.

Experiencing hard PC lag. My PC's specs are Intel Core i5 6500. Geforce GTX 1060 6 GB. 24 ram.
And 144 hrz. In short my pc is lagging in games that it should easily be able to handle. this happened a couple of weeks ago and I have no further choice than to ask for this community's help. I have no idea what caused this problem.
