As the title says, my PC is failing to post, but only sometimes. There are no beeps, so I shutdown the PC and start it again, and it then posts and boots as normal. Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. :)

According to your manual there isn't an Ad code, but like I say, they dont always list them all and are often pretty unhelpful in my experience. The closest codes are "AD - Issue Ready To Boot event for OS Boot" or "A6 Detect and install all currently connected SCSI devices". There is no 04 code or anything like it listed, but a search suggests it could be related to the Fast Boot function.. http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=16009.0

Can you get to your BIOS? If so, try disabling Fast Boot, and also try clearing your CMOS. If that fails, try removing your GPU and using the motherboard video output

Sorry about that.

CPU: Intel i7 4790k
MOBO: Gigabyte Gaming 7
RAM: 16 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws
GPU: EVGA 670 FTW+
PSU: EVGA 850w Supernova
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO
HHD: 2 1TB WD Blue

No. I have a speaker plugged in and there are no beep codes. I just remembered my MOBO has an error code LED screen thingy so next time it happens I'll take a look at it and let you know the code it throws. :)

My computer also fails to fully shutdown at points. Monitors turn off along with my keyboard and mouse lights, but my PC stays running forever unless I tap the power button. Code my motherboard gives me during this state was "04" if I remember correctly. Also using this comment as a 'bump'. :)
