Specs:

MSI P55A-G55 L1156 Mobo
EVGA GTX 580 SC 1.5GB
4GB Corsair 1333mhz DDR3 RAM
750w Corsair V2 PSU

System has been working fine for 3 days, playing games like Call of Duty: MW2, then all of a sudden whilst playing tonight, my PC shut down. It will now not boot (or even power up - no fans, no LEDS, nothing).

Has anyone any idea what the hell has just happened?

Thanks,

The only way to know for sure would be to test each peripheral to ensure that it is still functioning.

But if I had to guess, I would suggest the "paper clip" trick on the PSU to see if the unit has failed.

Well, after waiting 5 mins, I tried to boot it again and this time its worked :S

Upon start up, no error messages, CPU and GPU temps look fine..

Any ideas of what it could of been?

It could have been your GPU overheating, I own the same card and I know that the 580 SC runs very hot.

Download 'EVGA Precision' and keep your GPU fan on 75% whilst gaming, and monitor your system temps using a program like HWmonitor.

Before I got my 580, I had a 570 SC which kept overheating, but when it did and shut down my PC, upon rebooting I got an error message telling me. Thats why Im a bit confused.

But yeah, Ill download it, thanks for your help mate :)
