Question PC fan going really fast then pc shuts off

So i took some parts out because i’m trading my gpu, but once i put everything back together and i turn it on, everything seems fine but then either my cpu fan or something goes insanely fast then the of powers off and i have no clue what to do. I made sure my cooler was perfect in its position and i checked my gpu, both were fine i just can’t find what’s causing my cpu fan to go really fast (like it’s realllllllyyyyy fast) then pc shuts down.
my specs:
Intel Core i7-920
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 TI
19gb ram

I may have installed the ram incorrectly, but i will get to you soon as possible, it’s currently 12am. i will be trying to do this tomorrow. thanks for the reply

If you have not cleaned old thermal paste for long time that can cause high temps causing fans to spin fast then pc auto off.

i did remove my cpu fan and checked out and cleaned some dust then once i put it together, i would start the pc and the cpu fan would go insanely fast then it shuts off. thanks for the reply i’ll try to reapply some thermal paste

I don’t think it’s cause of my thermal paste, because it was working before, i did remove my cpu to clean some dust and i put it back together.

This issue has been solved for me thank you for helping me, i just reseated my ram and it fixed

Pc are real finicky when RAM comes into question-proven again.
