PC feels like it's underperforming

I've been wondering to myself if my pc is underperforming, as a friend of mine has the same exact system and components that i do and gets better performance. Where i got like 40 FPS, he has more than 60 using the same graphic settings. I can't understand what is wrong. More precisely i have a feeling that my pc isn't running on best performance but like on 50% of what it can actually deliver.

CPU - Ryzen 5 1600 3.32Ghz
MOBO - Gygabite AB350-GAMING 3
RAM - HyperX 8GBx2 2400Mhz
GPU - GTX 1050Ti 4GB MSi
PSU - Corsair Bronze 550w
MEMORY - 1 Barracuda HDD 1TB / 1 Toshiba (System Install) HDD 1TB / Kingston SSD 240GB
MONITOR - Samsung S24D391 59,94Hz

Does your friend have the EXACT same components?

With Ryzen, there's many variables - most importantly the memory speed. 3000MHz has a substantial gain (on average) vs 2400MHz.

Yes, Exact. But i've been having this issue even with another build, old one with FX cpu

So you migrated from an FX setup, to this Ryzen build?

Did you clean install your OS? Or just remove the OS drive from the FX system & attach to this?

Did not do a total OS format, just switched

Yup, that'll do it.

You'll have all sorts of driver conflicts going on.


Back up your data, and clean install your OS.

I had the same issue when i was on the Fx Build, even by doing a clean OS install it kept giving me the feeling that it did not perform as it should.
