pc FREEZE usb

hello all,

recently my pc started to freeze when i inserted a usb cable in the front usb port. Sometimes the screen turns off, and other times the pc just hangs. Also sometimes nothing happens and the usb works well. somebody knows the problem? i checked the connection on my motherboard, but nothing seems to be wrong

There may be an intermittent short or ground problem with the external USB port. If you built this computer yourself, make sure you used all the necessary standoffs on the motherboard. Also make sure the front side port is mounted to the case properly. Sometimes a factory defect can leave them not mounted or wired correctly or it may become loose.
