Recently I've been experiencing freezes with no sound where I have to hard reset my PC. My CPU runs at normal temps and my graphics card is fine. The only errors I could find was with my RAM. I ran memtest and it gave me 45+ errors so I grabbed some 8gb sticks of DDR3-1600 and stuck it in. And I still got 45+ errors (Literally brand new memory). I switched ram slots and made sure I had it all on auto so I didn't mess it up. I also haven't overclocked anything. It mostly happens when I play games but it will happen when watching YouTube or simple things like that.

EDIT: I used speccy and looked at my temps while at desktop and while in a game. They go from 45 Celcius to 65-70 Celsius. Anyone know why?

Solution
Numerous memory errors that don't go away when you swap in new RAM points to a motherboard that could be flaking out. PSU is less likely to be the problem, but that's possible too. CPU temps are within normal limits.

Any thoughts on why my motherboard is failing?

No idea. They have hundreds of electronic components, and it only takes one of them failing to compromise the board. It sucks, but it happens. A few months ago, I was going through all my old previously working computer parts from the 90s and early 2000s, and almost nothing still worked!
