PC Specs:
Motherboard: Asus Z97-AR
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790k 4.0Ghz
Power Supply: Corsair CX600M
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Cooling: Corsair H100i GTX
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2X8GB) 2400Mhz and Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) 1600Mhz
I added the new motherboard, processor, and liquid cooling yesterday. I ignored the CPU fan in the BIOS to accommodate the liquid cooling and lowered the DRAM frequency to 1333Mhz in the BIOS as well. Last night, I was able to use my PC for hours with freezing in one session. Previous sessions before that would freeze. This morning, the same settings I had began to freeze my PC as well. I believe the main problem may be that the motherboard is forcing overclocking or the memory may be incompatible, even though it recognizes the 24GB. Can anyone help?
