edit new build getting bsod clock watchdog timeout. New freezes potentially unrelated to last build.

Hi all,

I've been having a consistent issue with my pc where it freezes during Windows updates. I thought it must be processor or even motherboard so they have both been replaced, ram too. Unusually it now freezes during standard installations e.g. geForce experience and doesn't even make it to installing the windows updates anymore before freezing, just to finishing the download.

I've reinstalled two different Windows versions onto different hard disks, but to no luck.

Could the graphics card cause this? It is about 4 years old but I can't identify any issue with it (no artifacts or overheating). Perhaps PSU? But I don't see how either could cause a freeze.

No component is under heavy load when it freezes.

I'm at a bit of a loss now seeing as the components probably didn't need replacing, so help is much appreciated.

Thanks
