[SOLVED] PC freezes on HP splash screen after installing GTX 1060

So recently i installed a new gtx 1060 3gb which has a 8 pin connector which my psu didn't had so i bought a 6 to 8 pin connector when i boot up the pc it just boots and freezes on hp logo screen then keeps beeping every few seconds.


have a hp z210 workstations with a 400 watt Delta psu.

You should have bought a new, more powerful PSU if the Delta one didn't have an 8-pin.
A 400w PSU isn't sufficient anyway.
A quality-brand PSU of at least 500w should be installed for a GTX 1060 system.

It's pretty old motherboard, you should get a new one for the upgrade.
You can get pretty decent motherboard under 50$-70$ this days.
