PC Freezes once a day no BSOD

As stated in the title my pc typically freezes once a day. Some of the time it is seconds after I log on sometime I get hours of use before the freeze. It does not BSOD, rather the screen freezes and a hard reset is needed. The pc still has power and all the fans and lighting continues to run, though the lighting stops cycling. The freezes do not occur at a particular time, the last couple from the event viewer were 2AM, 3AM, 1PM, 12AM, 10AM, 1PM, 7AM, 6PM. It does not appear to be dependent on the work load, it happens during game play, while working in Word, and sometimes before I can start any programs. I have not had it freeze before I was able to log in.

my pc specs are:
OS: Windows 10 64bit upgraded from windows 8.1 64bit
Processor: AMD FX-8350
Motherboard: ASRock - 990FX Extreme 9
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaw DR3-1600
Graphics Card: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1070 swapped over from 2 XFX Radeon R9 280s
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W
Storage: SanDisk 128 GB for OS and important software
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 for all other storage

I did not get this problem until long after upgrading windows, and it was about a month or two after upgarding the graphics card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling most drivers, I have used ram checkers, and swapped the ports the ram cards were placed in (same ram cards were used), I have used storage disk checkers, but nothing has prevented the freezes or come up with confirmed errors in my hardware.

I get the following information from the event viewer for the last freeze

5/8/2018
01:43:38 There are 0x1 boot options on this system
01:43:38 The bootmgr wpent 0ms waiting for user input
01:43:38 The firmware reported boot metrics
01:43:38 The boot type of 0x0
01:43:38 The boot menu policy was 0x1
01:43:40 Kernel Power Error
01:43:48 The last shutdown's success status was false. The last boot's success status was true.
01:43:48 System uptime is 10 seconds
01:43:48 states shutdown at 1:42:26 was unexpected

reading in other forums if looks like the kernel power error can be ignored since it was caused by the hard reset

All of the items at 1:43:38 are the startup processes due to the reported uptime

There were not any events around the time of 1:42:26 which were documented

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Solution
Open the case (power off) and reseat all cards, connections, chips, jumpers. Ensure that all are fully and firmly in place.

How old is the PSU? Even if relatively "new" that does not automatically exclude some developing problem within the PSU. And a PSU related problem can result in all sorts of errors and system problems.

Do double check the load on the PSU. Could be that the PSU can no longer support the load - especially if some marginal threshold has been reached. PSU degrades, hits the "threshold", and problems occur.

Solution

This did appear to be the solution. I had removed the 1070 to place one of the old r9 280s and that stopped the freezes. When I placed the 1070 back in the freezes were still not present. Likely the graphics card did not have the power cord fully plugged in and that was causing the problem. Thanks for the help.
