Ive had my pc for a few years but the most recent upgrade was December of 2022. Ive had problems with the pc not booting in may, but that was solved by turning off c-state in bios. For the past week my pc has been freezeing on idle and the only way to fix it was a hard reboot. The only critical error I could find in event viewer was kernal-power 41. The issue was solved for 1 day by either updating power settings or updating graphics card drivers. After a restart, the pc started freezing or restarting on its own after around 2 minutes. I’ve tried reslotting everything except the cpu, changing power strips and outlets, checked the power connections, hard resetting windows, and verifying files(sfc and chkdsk) . My current situation is if I boot to windows, I can use the windows setup for a few minutes(~up to the time I have to create a pin) then it either freezes(70% of the time) or restarts the pc(30% of the time). I was going to update bios, but it froze in bios after it verified the file and right before i clicked install. I figured this would be a bad idea to try so I havent done it again. If I boot the pc into bios, it will last a little longer(~5-7 minutes) then it'll freeze and the motherboard will show the “boot” light. The board shows no codes when booted into windows. Also, when frozen the usb devices will turn off and when replugged in they turn on for a second then turn off. All temps are normal (~40c) in bios and gpu temps were normal before windows reset.

Gpu: Tuf 3090
Ram: 4x8 Corsair vengence 2400 mhz(xmp off runs at 2100)
Cooler: Msi Mag coreliquid 360r v2(recently replaced due to recall)
Power supply:evga 1000w g5
Storage: 250g samsung 970 evo(windows drive), teamgroup 1tb ssd, 1tb western digital hdd

I think this code has to do something with power input or Power fault and sometimes faulty PSU can freeze and restart computers. Temps are fine so nothing overheating and gpu is rarely at fault and 1000W PSU is good enough to power 3090 so biggest suspect is PSU. You can test parts out like taking out GPU and use the Ryzen 9 5900x to see if it freezes and try and done one ram at a time and such!

Thank you, Ive tried then ram thing and my pc wont display anything if I boot to bios without a gpu, so Ill put in an rma for the power supply.

Update: Power supply was not the issue because i was able to reproduce the same results with a spare power supply I found. I will now test the ram again and reseat the cpu.
