pc freezes when benchmarking. even on 640x400 resolution x16

i have fx 4300 cpu, msi 970 gaming motherboard, msi geforce gtx950 2g gpu, and 16 gigs of hyperx ram. and on msi kombustor all bench marks freeze up my computer. even 16x. has happened before and it went back to working properly but i dont remember what i did to fix it.

Step one, turn off any overclock than test it. Step 2 test the ram with Memtest86. Step 3 stress test the CPU in Prime95. If your computer is crashing during these steps than either you have a bad power supply or a failing component.

I would start with everything at stock and see if it still crashes.

does it mean anything that it runs fine while gaming?even a new game like black ops 3? only benchmarking freezes it

If its only that benchmark and nothing else than I would chalk it up to a program issue. The easier way to find out if you have a problem is to run Prime95, Memtest86 and any other stress test programs.
