I've been having this problem for over six months now, and I'm not sure how to solve it.

Whenever I connect to my home computer using Splashtop the home computer will freeze 1-2s after any inputs are performed. I can connect and scroll around with the mouse (highlight items etc), but once i make a mouse click or type anything in, the computer freezes about 2s later. I will close the remote software and when I reopen it will show my home computer is offline. When I get home I'll find my computer has oddly completely frozen, no error screens, no black or blue screens, its simply frozen in the state I left it in, and needs to be hard-booted.

Any help would be appreciated. I've already reinstalled Splashtop several times on both the home and remote computers. At first, I thought it was my computer. Since February I have wiped nearly all programs off my computer, updated every driver to all software and hardware, and even done a system restore from before I started using remote connections. However, almost anytime I connect remotely my computer will freeze, so I believe it has to do with remote connections.

I need to remotely connect to my home PC so there is no option around this. Anyone heard of this issue?

Have you considered teamviewer, also about your computer at home what firewall do you have and what settings is it on ?

I've used teamviewer from time to time, best way to connect.
