PC freezes when I start testing the Ryzen 7 1700 CPU with Prime95 or OCCT

Hello everyone!

My specs are:
- AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor
- Asus - PRIME B350-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard
- G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
- Western Digital - Black 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
- Asus - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Dual Video Card
- PSU : CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX
My CPU has been overclocked to 3650 MHz by turning on the Tweak in BIOS and it gave me this result automatically, I use the stock's Cooler.

When ever I run Prime95 or OCCT programms to test the CPU, the PC freezes immediately, the screen is showing up but everything is frozen, no mouse or Keyboard response, which forces me to restart my PC.
My RAMs Speed are set at 2933.

Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply. Actually I didn't do anything more than letting it automatically overclock my CPU, everything is in Automatic.
Here is a screen shot of my CPU infos:

Have to agree with vapour it sounds like the Vcore is to low.

The crash you are explaining normaly is down to 3 things:

1. CPU overclock is to high so CPU gets unstable. (Silicone lottery)
2. CPU Vcore is to low so CPU get unstable.
3. PSU is faulty.

PSU`s are always a wildcard since when/if it breaks it can manifest into all kinds of problems :D

Thank you for the reply.
The steps I did in the Bios are:
- Set the RAM @2133 MHz
- CPU @3600
- VCore @1.35
I run OCCT and it ran for 12 minutes till the Temp reached 86 c then stopped and gave the red sign stating the reason of stopping because of the Temp reaching the 86c, where the Max temp is 85c.

Now is that normal? I guess the temp is too high, right?
And should I leave the settings like that? Or can I raise the RAMs speed at least? 2133 is the standard when I first installed the PC the first time.
What is your next suggestion? Thanks very much for your help and time!

vapour, I thank you very much, this time it finished the test ( one hour ). The highest temp it scored was 80c.
Now what else should I do ? Do I have to leave it like that? Can I change the speed of the RAM or should I leave them?

About the CPU, when I first installed it, I had the worst experience ever, it was hard to mount the cooler on the board, I tried first time then pulled it up, somehow I felt that I messed up the paste by doing that, then I tried again and tightened the cooler with too much force. Maybe this is the reason why the high temp? I am not really sure. But in idle the temp is around 38 and 42.

Good news, thank you. Btw I used OCCT and not Prime95.
But to be honest, I don't know where exactly XMP is, I can't remember I saw that option in Bios before. Is it maybe under different name? As soon as I come home I will do what you told me if I hopefully find XMP.
Thanks very much!

Thanks vapur for your help!

I did what you told me and changed the RAM speed to 2933, so the settings are as following:

Then I did the test with OCCT, but after 8 minutes the temp hit 86 and stopped.

What is your next suggestion?

Not really, some mbs have XMP for Ryzen.

I suggest further lowering your vcore voltage, try 1.25v

I did, it stopped after few minutes.
I also raised the it to 1.26, but the temp reached 86 after 9 minutes
I noticed that the value raises up and down during the test, is this normal?
Maybe is there any options in the Bios to turn off or on?
