PC freezes when playing games

Set up:
AMD Phenom II x4 960t 3.0ghz
8GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5770
Gigabyte 770T -D3L

Basically recently I have been getting random freezes while playing games, at first I thought it was just that game as it wasnt happening in others, now it happens in all. It will freeze randomly then unfreeze after a few seconds to a minute. I am running Windows 8 Professional 64bit, but I've never had issues before so im wondering if my graphics card might be packing in?

It maybe with the drivers of your card with win8 cause they had a problem before. Try to download the latest driver.
