Hello, I have a problem with my computer, I have been solving it for about 5 months now and I still couldn't solve the problem,
my computer usually freezes up when I watch a mp4 video from my other HDD and then the computer doesn't work, it can't unfreeze or recover somehow
I just have to do a hard reboot. I don't know what and why this computer does this but it definitely bothers me and I'm trying in vain to fix the error I don't know where the error is if it's a software error or a hardware error but
before that I did a computer upgrade in July and that included upgrading a brand new motherboard, processor, operating memory, and changing a few old components.
However, I still had a problem with the SSD drive that was causing problems with the SSD file paging on the new computer, so I made the SSD
replaced it with an HDD because I declared it defective and non-functional, the SSD was relatively new and I had it for 1 year as of 3/7/2020
There's also a mention for the graphics card I had in my old computer that was also used in the current one. I've been using the graphics card for 4 years now since roughly 11/25/2015

I've did RAM test (No errors) Fresh install OS didn't help. The computer during use absolutely works fine no BSOD nothing but as soon as I play an mp4 recording the computer gets stuck in the middle during video playback + audio sound and completely the computer gets stuck it goes to start the task manager but the calculations or load is not showing and it is stuck also you can't enter the desktop at all and also when you start an application there is no icon in the taskbar as if it doesn't exist. Plus the computer doesn't get any error message that is written to memory. Or even worse a blue screen death. At the same time, the only place where you can normally play videos are only on Youtube or in the browser there it's fine.

My new components

ASUS TUF Gaming B550-plus

This may just be a drivers issue.
Install your Chipset driver from your motherbd's support site: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-C...aming/TUF-GAMING-B550-PLUS/HelpDesk_Download/
Install your GPU driver next: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Then back to your motherbd site for the rest of your drivers. basically the Lan and Audio ones.

If you are using Media player, install VLC : https://www.videolan.org
and if the videos no longer freeze the system then you probably need to install one of the codec packs to get them working in your favorite media player.

Thank you very much, I'll try to do it soon when I have time then I'll let you know if the problem still persists

No, it didn't help after a few tried tests for the computer it didn't work, just the video in the middle of the mp4 recording gets stuck plus the sound and the whole windows freezes but no BSOD or crash of any app, plus it doesn't write to the Memory file. (But let's say Chrome was running in the background and the sound was running)
