PC Freezing and Intermittent Power Off

Hello!

I have been gradually upgrading my PC, until I ran into the problem of my PC randomly freezing (can happen at any time) or randomly powering off (only seen while gaming).

Things I have recently swapped out are:
GeForce GTX980
CX 750 PSU
AMD FX8350 PSU

Unfortunately, I am unsure what motherboard I have. However, the issues started to occur once I replaced the PSU. I used thermal paste and have snapped it in properly.

Are the freezing and powering off symptoms of an incompatible PSU to motherboard? Any help would be great! Thank you!

Just because a PSU is different, does not mean it is 'known good'...

Until using a known good PSU, it is a likely suspect, and the logical thing to try first..

I forgot to mention, I actually did swap it out once thinking it was defective, but again, still having the same issues.

Freezes tend to be memory related, while random shutdowns and reboots tend to be power related Again, there is a difference between "known good" and I swapped it out and still have the same issues.
