Hi, I have recently installed my new graphics card and I have been running into some issues with my pc. Whilst playing Valorant my pc freezes,forcing me to restart my pc, which then proceeds to shut down 3-5 times in a row randomly. I would like to ask has anyone had this issue before and does anyone know how I can sort this out ?
Here are my PC specs;

Asus b450m gaming motherboard
Ryzen 5 1600 3.6ghz 6core
Gigabyte RTX 3060 Eagle 12gb
16gb ddr4 3000mhz
550w corsair psu

Thank you.

Hey there,

I suspect that's a PSU related problem. What exact model do you have? For some users, RTX cards can cause problems with what are normally decent PSU's. In the main, it's because RTX's switch frequency/load and power draw so quickly, that it triggers the PSU's over protections, and they shut down. But this is mostly related to 3070/3080/3090 model GPUs

I'm not too sure, I thought it was the lsu at first also but whilst I was playing bf5 to try and detect the problem i found that my cpu was around 70% utilised and my rtx 3060 was at 1% usage.
And also my model is the rtx 3060 gigabyte eagle

What power plan have you got running. Try 'High Performance' or Ultimate Performance profiles and see if that fixes it.

Try this: Here are the lines you need to enter in PowerShell:
Ultimate Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

High Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c

Balanced: powercfg -duplicatescheme 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e

Power saver: powercfg -duplicatescheme a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a
