Around 2 weeks ago my pc that ive had for 2 years suddenly started freezing. It was once a day first and usually when im doing very gpu intense in games. Now its freezing every 10-15 minutes even while im just surfing without anything but chrome running. It seems that everything in the background keeps running and just the screen freezes because when it usually happens i can still talk to my friends in discord and i can still hear that my character is getting attacked but im just kinda not in control anymore. Whenever there is a freeze incoming the mouse would start acting up and lagging badly while the keyboard just completely stops, sometimes the background sound ingame or on youtube just disappears and 10 seconds later everything freezes.
Im running windows 10 64bit on
Gigabyte ga-z170-gaming k3
2x4gb hyperX fury ddr4 RAMs
Gigabyte Gtx 960 4gb wf2x oc
Intel lga1151 core i5 - 6600k
Corsair vs550W kpc bulk edition
Coolermaster seldon 120v cpu cooler
Intel 535 Ssd 120gb
Seagate barracuda 1tb
Things i have tryed so far:
1. Reinstalling windows ( several times with several copies)
2. Updating all the drivers including installing and older gpu driver to test if the latest one is the cause.
3. Installing windows on my HDD and disabling the SSD.
4. Checking Harddrives for bad sectors.
5. Pulling out rams and try running the pc on each of them.
6.running furmark (pc freezes after 2 minutes and furmark continues yo fry my pc)
7.downloading whocrashed (no logs)
8.view reliability monitor, errors consist of unproper shutdown and the OCguru app crash, i have tryed not installing OCguru but it does not affect anything. I also got 1 msg saying LiveKernelEvent 144
9. Underclocking the gpu.
10. Monitoring the cpus and temprature and everything seems to be normal.
11. Running in safemode with networking makes it run without any problems but i dont know what part is causing it.
12. Sometimes a blue screen appears and say criticalprocessdied.
While writing this i froze 3 times and had to post this through the phone
Im running out of ideas and im just sitting here rolling my thumbs in defeat.
