Pc Freezing Every Few Hours

Hey! So as a new pc user i never really expected my new pc to just do this. Every couple of hours, my pc (which is about a month old) freezes. No blue screen just everything freezes. I can see what i was doing prior to the freeze but everything including background activities freeze up. Its important to note that i did fix this issue before about 2 weeks ago by reinstalling windows. I also did get in contact with ASUS support who didn't really help much...

update: i just had another freeze and my headset disconnected this time...


Specs:

i7 8700K (NOT OC'D)

GTX 1080

EVGA 750 watt Gold PSU

16 GB of Ripjaws V ram (NOT OC'D)

ASUS Z370-E MOBO

You also need to set memory parameters whether by enabling XMP or manually setting:
1) memory clock speed
2) DRAM timings
3) DRAM voltage

Ripjaws V ram - without part number or link to this, I wouldn't know what you have there.

I believe its DDR4 3200 RAM

it will usually freeze mid game. but i have been on google and have it freeze

This is hard to diagnose because of lack of error messages. I’ve encountered in the past a similar issue that was rectified by replacing or rma the graphics card.

You can also increase windows page file size substantially to 3 or 4 times your total system memory size and set min equal to max page file size .

Well i dont have another graphics card laying around unfortunately
... any other steps i can take?

Another I can think of is check your disk health. If a driver or system file is written to a bad block it could be corrupted. First run sfc /scannow , and then run a chkdsk

Well, your cpu has integrated graphics, so you can remove the card and try with integrated graphics port.
