PC freezing for short periods of time

About a week ago, my PC started doing something really weird. It suddenly began freezing for only a split of a second, to then continue as usual. The problem does not occur when using any specific software, and it is not because my PC's specs can't handle everyday use.

Even though it does not affect my use of the PC, it is quite an annoyance, as it disturbs me multiple times a day. I am not sure what may cause this problem, and have therefore placed this thread in 'Systems'. Please move my thread, if it does not belong here, thank you.


Some PC specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 Processor (3,2 GHz)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
Ram: HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB
System boots from a HyperX Fury 120GB SSD

1) What is MB mode? BIOS version 0603
2) EVGA Supernova 750 G2 (750W)
3) Current temperatures, at time of writing:
GPU: 38-39 degrees celsius
CPU: Varies a lot, 35-40 degrees celsius

And try test the RAM by MemTest86
And make update all the drivers and the BIOS.

My work computer did this for a while, and it turned out to be the fault of the graphics drivers. I updated the drivers and it stopped happening.

Are you running Win10? If so, are you getting any error popups when this happens? Every time it happened to me Windows would tell me something like "graphics card has stopped responding and recovered successfully".

Yes, I did. And I had the same gtx970 too.
If you got that error, try reseat the GPU, and may try use the DDU to uninstall the GPU driver in safe mode, then reinstall the driver again. And also update the chipset driver too.

I want to start out this text, by excusing my late response. School just started up again, and I haven't had much time to be on here because of this.

I ran the the RAM test by MemTest86, and have linked the results down below.

After running the test, it appears that my computer has gone back to normal again, even though I don't see how the RAM test could have affected my PC. If the problem comes back, I will return to this thread and go through the rest of your suggestions. Thanks a lot for your time, and once again sorry for replying this late.
