Question PC Freezing / Input freeze

Hello,

I really could use some help!

My PC that I just built is experiencing some major freezes and odd behavior.

The PC freezes for .5 - 3 seconds and halts all input or holds down a key and types that key the duration of the lag/hitch. Sometimes when this occurs my headphone audio is lost or I lose control of my headset mic. This occurs during a game or even just browsing the web/light usage. I have updated drivers, at least all that make sense to me. Im at a loss as to what to do.... the only overclocking I did was to my RAM to get to 3600.

Worth mentioning this freezing did not occur in my last rig but the only parts that remain from the old build are the 4 data drives (2HDDs, 1 NvMe SSD, 1 SSD), and my 1070 GPU.

Latest Example:
With Discord open and a game running with a headset+mic
Game spins up and all audio is lost, then I am unable to speak with my mic
Leave the discord chat then rejoin and the mic might work or Ill need to play around with audio settings to get it back to work

Alls well for a short period of time then it happens again.

This behavior also occurs when Im only using Google Chrome and chating on a video call

Looks like an on board sound card problem. Did you try installing the drivers from Gigabyte?
