Hi All

This is probably a daft question but I have been having a problem with my pc booting up. It gets to asus with spinning dots and freezes.

I removed my graphics card and plugged my monitor in to the motherboard hdmi out. And the pc booted fine multiple times.

I then reinstalled my graphics card and tries to boot up again and it began freezing like it did before.

Does this indicate my graphics card is faulty? Or the socket on there motherboard in which the graphics card plugs in to?

Thanks in advance

Are you able to get into the BIOS with the graphics card installed? Try to reset the BIOS if you are able to get into the BIOS, or use the jumper to reset it. Then try booting.

Question from Hotchkiss1889 : "Windows freezing on boot up"

Yes i am able to get in to the bios. I pulled the coin sized battery out and left it for about 10 mins. Would this reset bios? Or does it need to be done manually in the settings?

I reset the bios using the jumper and also pulled out battery. Still freezing when loading. Like I said before, when I remove the gpu and boot up from the motherboard hdmi out it works fine. I just don't want to buy a new gpu and it turns out this is not the issue.
