Question PC Freezing on loading screen

I have an HP Omen 30L. About 2 weeks ago I restarted my pc and the freezing on the HP Omen loading screen issue started. I got it working again by running a scan in diagnostics (everything passed). And as long as I didn't turn it off or restart it, it ran fine. I had an automatic update that forcibly restarted my PC and I'm once again having the freezing issue.

Edit: Issue has been fixed, not sure if it was updating windows or fixing the registry but it's back to normal.

Are you able to get into Safe Mode? I'm assuming your OS might need a reinstall, in conjunction with Safe Mode, you should be able to back up any mission critical data off your drive prior to reinstalling the OS.

About 80-90% I think.Its a 1tb I've got around 100gb worth of space left on it.

How would I enter safe mode?

Edit: I think I figured out how I'm supposed to enter safe mode using the startup options menu, but when I press f8 to enter it, nothing happens. There's a little screen flash like it registers the input then no changes.
