Ok here is my problem with my pc. Everytime i set youtube or netflix to full screen my pc freezes and either recovers with the "display driver failed and has recovered" or i have to restart the pc. ive tried installing older versions of flash and gpu drivers and removed the gpu and used intel hd graphics. Could this be a failing mobo?

Solution
at this point all i can think to try is reinstall windows, I don't think it's a hardware problem because it is related t playing a video and you have tried with integrated and discrete graphics
well it is the middle of night, (in the states at least), and it's a bit of a vague question... anyway...

have you tried different browsers?? does it do this in all browsers??

start there, get back with details.

alright i guess i failed to realize that. its just such a frustrating problem. ive tried ie9 and samething and i tried memtest and got no errors. fullscreen videos work with html5 but not with flash.

yea ill list everything i did.

updated windows, updated flash, updated display drivers, downgraded flash, downgraded display drivers, removed gpu and ran intel hd graphics, and disabled hardware acceleration. I can't figure this problem out.

well, the first thing you should do is disable automatic restart on a system failure on windows 7, so you can see the blue screen you are not seeing because the system restarts too fast.
go to control panel->system->advanced system settings->settings
In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart.

then wait for the error to happen again and look at the blue screen and write down the file name that is causing it together with the error code.

what do you mean by restart? like where i have to login again? or where it just restarts the display driver?

my system specs are
boistar tz77b
4gb ram
intel I5 3450
500w rosewill psu
gtx 550 ti ( currently in rma proccess )
running intel hd graphics

update: a fullscreen 1080p video just froze about 20-40 seconds in with buzzy sound. the system recovered with no error at all after i had pressed ctrl+alt+del and there was about 7 seconds delay before it came back. sometimes i have to hard reset.
