PC freezing randomly

Hi i have this issue where i'm playing destiny 2 and the game freezes my pc for a few seconds and then runs normally again it seems to be random sometimes it even crashes to the desktop with a message saying graphics runtime detected a crash or loss of device i thought it was a bad overclock so i returned it to factory settings didn't fix it i uninstalled the driver and reinstalled didn't fix it uninstalled msi afterburner just incase it was conflicting with the game but i still have the issue just now when i was watching a youtube video it happened aswell and sometimes i get flickering on my monitor randomly

system specs:
i7 8700k
asus maximus hero x
asus strix gtx 1080 ti
32gb ram

I would double check your system temps-make sure everything is within a healthy range. When you did the driver unistall/reinstall was it done properly? (Using ddu in safe mode etc). What PSU are you using?

Temps are ok around 70c for the gpu the drivers were reinstalled using ddu in safe mode and the psu is evga supernova 750 g2
