Hello there I have been experiencing some issues with my computer for a while and after 2 rma's it still consists. The computer freezes and goes to a black screen while playing games, this could happen after a few minutes or hours. The sound at first is perfectly fine but the longer it stays in the frozen state it becomes more unstable and the audio starts to repeat. I can sometimes ctrl + alt + del out successfully but then the audio on external devices such as my television does not work but it works fine with headphones. After about 10-30 seconds it will reset and very occasionally will not restart and the speaker beeps indicate a problem with the monitor/gpu. This problem arose when I forgot to turn up my fan speeds via the fan controller and after a few hours of gaming it crashed although I don't think the system got too hot (Not above 80 degrees) which is confusing me.
The two parts I have had an rma for are for the graphics card and ram(which failed mem test) and I have run tests on the new hardware and there are no problems.
Specs:
Monitor: old philips one
cpu: intel i5 2500
ram: corsair dominator platinum 1866
psu: corsair hx 850
gpu: evga gtx 660
mobo: gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3
storage: samsung 840 evo 120gb for windows 8.1
various others for additional storage.
The temperatures are fine, far below what they should be so that is not an issue.
I have done a full reinstall of windows 8 onto my ssd and still have the problem, here are some errors I get while crashing.
error 4109:
Application WorldOfTanks.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.
Application chrome.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.
Error 4101:
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
