PC Freezing when gaming

Hello,
My pc is getting some freezes when running some games and i need to do a hard reset, for example i get a freeze when playing WoW (at random times), Far Cry primal (cant get 5minutes of gameplay), but with diablo III max settings i can play for hours without a freeze.

system specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
MB: Asus M5a99FX PRO R2.0
RAM: Kingston Hyper X Black 1600mhs (2x4Gb)
VGA: EVGA GTX 970 ftw

i've tested the system with a stick of 8 gigs of corsair vengeance instead of my hyperX and still get crashes.

Does it give you any sort of error message apart from it not responding?

If you changed out the RAM and it still does that, it's not your RAM sticks, it could possibly be the game itself, RAM slots or GPU.

Try these steps first.

UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVERS (VERY IMPORTANT)
RUN the game in Windowed mode.

Hi, i updated my drivers, still the same issue tested WoW in "windowed full screen" (i dont know if it acts the same as windowed mode but without the borders) still same issue i could play a little less than an hour now better than the usual 15 mins

Try windowed without borders just to see.
