PC freezing while playing demanding games

My build :

GPU - EVGA GTX 980 TI SLI
CPIU - Intel i7 4790k
PSU - EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W
MB - Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7
RAM - TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3

Recently while playing high demanding games such as Battlefront and Siege on full graphics and at 1440p my PC will freeze anywhere from 30 mins into it up to 2 hours. It will suddenly happen and there is no build up to it. To resolve the problem I have to restart my PC. It will ONLY happen in demanding games and no others.

I'd like to add that my PC is not overclocked and my temps are completely fine on my CPU and GPU.

I am a bit stuck as to what to do.

Nope it isn't, going to update that now.

Test your RAM sticks. Or if you are lazy, pull one of your RAM sticks out and play with only one for a few days. If you get no lock-ups, switch the RAM and see if you can get a lockup with the other one.

Would Memtest be the best thing to use for this?

Yea, it works pretty good. I'd still use the memtest boot disc to test one RAM stick at a time though.

Gave it a try and zero problems with my RAM.

Nope, nothing is overclocked.

The only thing I can think of it being is my SLI messing up.
