Pc fried, can I still use my Hard drive?

My pc just fried and I am looking to get a new one if a new power supply doesn’t work, but if I get a new computer will the hard drive (1tb) still work? It is my main right now but on the new pc it would be second as the new computer already has windows ect. (My old hard drive has windows on it but will that matter?)

You'll need to test it. Was the PSU fried and if so, was it good enough not to take other components with it?

I would recommend USB -> sata adapter and check it like that. HD tune and scan it. When PSU dies it can take a lot of random parts with it. Also check others, maybe you can salvage ram, cpu. if not for your build then a bit of $ refund
