Question PC froze mid gaming, no signal when turning back on?

Hi there,

System:

cpu: amd-8320
mobo: ga-78lmt-usb3
ram: 16gb 1333hz
gpu: geforce 980
hd: 240 ssd, 1.5tb hdd

My PC froze while gaming and I had to do a hard reset. When I turned it back on there was no signal to monitor (Displayport).

Things I've tried:

• removing both add and hdd, still no signal most the times. sometimes if I wait long enough it does get to the POST screen, sometimes it gets stuck on the screen to access BIOS, most the time no signal
• swapping out ram, leaving only 1 4gb stick in the 1st slot

Anyone?

Evga supernova 650 w 80 + gold. Tried both my ssd and HDD on a diff system, works fine. You think it's the psu failing?

I found another psu, but not with enough output to test (cooler master rs 46p psar13) , there's only 1 pcie output cable, but the screen does get a signal and says 'please turn off and connect pcie cables to this graphics card'. Is this a good sign for the gpu, I'll have to find another psu somewhere

So I got another gpu (gt 740). It goes to bios screen (like my 980) and gets stuck at verifying DMI as well. Can it also be mobo?
